The Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE - Sustainable Architecture for Finance in Europe - (www.safe-frankfurt.de) promotes scientific research, transfer work to the public and independent policy advice on all aspects relating to the structure and functioning of the financial system. It aims to contribute to strengthening a sustainable and resilient financial system that drives innovation and serves the needs of the economy and citizens. Researchers from the fields of economics, law, and political science collaborate at SAFE.

Your profile:

Applicants should have a PhD in Finance, Economics, or Law or be close to completion of their PhD as well as a research interest in Financial Intermediation, Financial Markets, Household Finance, Behavioral Finance, Sustainable Finance or Law and Finance.

We welcome applications from candidates who show an excellent scientific track record and strong research potential as well as the commitment to contribute to the activities of the Institute.

The position is limited to one year. SAFE encourages Postdoctoral Fellows to prepare a research proposal for submission to a funding program that offers the opportunity to convert the Fellow position into a longer-term research position at SAFE (e.g, Leibniz Junior Research Groups, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action: European Fellowship/Global Fellowship, DFG funding programs). Support in the application process will be provided.

We also welcome candidates who are looking for a one-year bridging position to enhance their network and polish their papers before taking on the next step in their academic career.

We offer the infrastructure of a modern research institute with excellent contacts to the scientific, regulatory, and financial community. You will be working in a very attractive working environment in the House of Finance at Goethe University Frankfurt in a team of enthusiastic colleagues. Compensation will be 100% of a full-time position in accordance with the standards of the public services wage agreement of the State of Hesse (TV-H E 13).

There is no teaching load assigned to the position.
