The Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE - Sustainable Architecture for Finance in Europe - (www.safe-frankfurt.de) promotes scientific research, transfer work to the public and independent policy advice on all aspects relating to the structure and functioning of the financial system. It aims to contribute to strengthening a sustainable and resilient financial system that drives innovation and serves the needs of the economy and citizens. Researchers from the fields of economics, law, and political science collaborate at SAFE.

Your tasks:

We are looking for two student assistants to support SAFE researchers in the Department of Law & Finance in researching legal and economic literature on sustainable financial products and their regulation. You will be responsible for collecting contracts for sustainable financial products.

Your profile:

  • According to § 6 WissZVG in conjunction with § 82 HHG, your enrolment at a German university is a mandatory requirement for employment at our institute
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in legal studies or economics
  • Interest in researching sustainable financial products and their regulation
  • Good knowledge of English and German, further language skills are helpful, but not necessary
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Python is a plus, but not necessary

The position is for 12 months, on average 35 to 40 hours per month – the temporal distribution of working hours is negotiable.
